All UBC researchers and administrators are required to use Researcher Information Services (RISe) to submit applications and track them through to approval, certification or awarding of funds.

RISe is an online research administration tool that is composed of several modules:

  • The Research Compliance Modules allow researchers to submit Animal, Human and Biosafety research protocols;
  • The Conflict of Interest Module allows faculty members to submit UBC Conflict of Interest/Conflict of Commitment Declarations;
  • The Extended Reporting Module provides data about the broader UBC research community.

RISe allows researchers to interact with their research teams, administrators and reviewers. The system also sends automatic notifications and reminders to registered individuals regarding the status of their projects or applications.

Training on RISe is recommended for all staff and faculty members involved in research administration. Please contact us today to request a training session.
