TGMS overview
The three federal granting agencies, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have embarked on an initiative to modernize their grants management system to better support applicants, administrators and reviewers during the grants management lifecycle.
Procurement
In the spring of 2022, following a competitive procurement process, the Microsoft Power Platform was chosen as the platform that will support the Tri-agency grants management solution (TGMS) project. On October 25, 2022, the TGMS team reached another significant procurement milestone by launching the Request for proposals. This step will result in the selection of a vendor to help with the configuration of the solution. This, along with obtaining Treasury Board authorities, will allow the team to start the Implementation phase.
