New Frontiers in Research Fund - 2022 Horizon Global Platform (Convergence Portal)

All applications to the NFRF – 2022 Horizon Global Platform competition must be electronically submitted via the Convergence Portal. 

Please follow the application procedures described in the program outlines.  Applicants using Internet Explorer may experience system issues with the Convergence Portal, so please use an alternate browser. NOTE: 25% Indirect Costs of Research must be included in your budgets

 

DEADLINES


There is a two-stage application process: Registration and Full Application.  


Please note Convergence Portal will not automatically notify ORS of your submission. You must email ors@ors.ubc.ca in advance of submitting your NFRF application to ensure the required institutional approval is provided in time for the deadline.


Registration Deadlines


• Mandatory registration (depends on deadlines for Horizon 2022 calls): one week after the Horizon Europe application deadline for an eligible call an application to which you were part of was submitted, or September 13, 2022 (whichever is later).
• UBC Internal Deadline: please notify ors@ors.ubc.ca of your plan to submit the registration 5 working days prior to the deadline. RPIF is not required at the Registration stage but will be required at the full application stage.  


Full Application Deadlines 

• UBC Internal Deadline: 5 working days prior to when you plan to submit a full application (depends on notification of awards by Horizon 2022). Please email ors@ors.ubc.ca for document requirements in addition to a fully signed Research Project Information Form.  


While ORS makes every effort to submit all applications on time and to facilitate support for our research community, applications submitted after UBC internal deadline will not receive a guarantee of administrative review from ORS, which includes confirmation for application completeness.
